La Vieille ville

The Old Town Inherited from the Middle Ages, and perched on the hillside, it is also called "the old Hyères." Charming with its narrow streets, it is dotted of many stalls with the scents of Provence.

Losing yourself in its veneers, you will discover miles of stories: the Rue des Porches, The Tower of Templars, The Villa Noailles or for the most motivated, the ruins of the Château des Seigneurs de Fos. His Gardens

With its Los Angeles vibes, Hyères has more than 7,000 palm trees, but not only! « City garden », 4 remarkable gardens with wonderful species has to be discovered: Olbius Riquier, Parc Saint-Bernard, Parc Sainte-Claire and Plantier de Costebelle. The paradise for plant lovers, who will observe flowers from the 4 corners of the world!

His Districts

The different neighborhoods have nothing to envy in the city center. Each has its own history and atmosphere :

Ayguade

Around its emblematic ball court, the Ayguade is a lively little hamlet of human size. An air of holiday there, in any season, its large pebble beach is ideal for young and old !

The harbour St Pierre

Let yourself be carried by the noise of the masts, along its lively docks! Regatta or the famous Provençal joust, it is THE meeting point of sailing in Hyères. In summer, it becomes a real place to live with its many restaurants and bars!

La Capte

A street that feels like a holiday, and leads to a sandy beach where the little ones will have very far foot. La Capte is family friendly and awakens every summer for the pleasure of everyone. Enjoy an ice cream, enjoy free concerts, the atmosphere is assured in this small seaside district !

Almanarre Beach

Along the exceptional double tombolo, where you can observe the flamingos, it’s the largest beach in Hyères. Close in Winter to cars to give way to walkers, in summer, it is the most popular beach in the town. With its turquoise waters, it is also the favourite spot of kitesurfers who have their beach portion reserved!

Giens

Marvellous of the commune, the peninsula of Giens is a real jewel, and it is not the Arbanese (inhabitant of this hamlet) who will tell you otherwise. Overlooking its small town with an incredible view of the double tombolo and the city of Hyères, it surrounds itself with hidden cove and trails to discover !

The Golden Islands

Abandon your car and discover these unique and natural islands from Hyères, La Londe or Lavandou:

Porquerolles Island

The biggest, the famous one is Porquerolles! This is the only one that you can ride on. Lovers of turquoise waters and coves will find their happiness fromla plage de Notre-Dame to la Plage d’argent. Lovers of culture and heritage can discover its old mill, or the fort of lobsters loaded with history. Since 2018, it hosts the Carmingnac Foundation a garden exibit specially created for this place, to explore barefoot!

Port Cros Island

The wildest and most protected, Port Cros which gives its name to the protected natural park, is a marvel of fauna and flora. An enchantment to discover whether out or under water thanks to its snorkelling path.

Le Levant Island

Rebellious beauty, like her sisters, they are relatives of enchanting coves and beaches. Its difference? It is the cradle of naturism! A true ode to nature and the sun, where you will find artists' workshops, houses with tropical fruit colors, tikis carved in the trunks of coconut trees, exotic hammocks: a real bohemian paradise, lost far from the world.

  • Ayguade Craft & Food Market: Wednesday mornings
  • Downtown Craft & Food Market: Saturday mornings
  • Port St Pierre Craft & Food Market: Sunday mornings

During the summer, other markets settle for everyone's pleasure:

  • Giens Craft and Food Market: Tuesday mornings from 1 April until 30 September inclusive.
  • La Capte Craft and food market : Fridays mornings from 1 April until 30 September inclusive.
  • Port St Pierre night market: every evening from 30 June until 2 September.

Events
